I’m not a strong believer in smoothie recipes, as I find the whole smoothie subject real defendant on personal taste: Some like a thicker drink and some runnier, some like it to be real sweet and some prefer some sourness into their drink, etc.
Due to the above, I feel like you should experiment with what you like, and to add to that, you should strive to use what’s already in your fridge to avoid food waste.
And yet, I will share here today a “recipe” for a mildly sweet smoothie, that is perfect for kids as well as for grown ups, especially if you’d like to “hide in” some green leaves inside and still have a sweet taste to the result.
Strawberry Spinach Smoothie

Mildly sweet smoothie, that is great for kids as well as grown ups, who wish to add some greens to their diet

- ½ Cup fresh strawberries (sub with other sweet fresh fruit if not strawberry season)
- ½ Cup frozen strawberries
- ½ Cup vegan milk (soy/almond/coconut/etc.)
- ¼ Cup raspberries (or other berries of choice)
- ¼ Cup spinach leaves
- 3 table spoons pure maple syrup/agave syrup
- ½ Cup ice cubes

- Blend all ingredients in a high speed blender and serve immediately.
